Happy Pantry: We have new tote bags! And they're Milk and Cookies!

Well, it's probably the way a lot of people do it.  We do all the designs and figure out the sizes we want the product to be and then we send all of that information to a company in China and have them make it all.

Here are some pictures they sent us - we're running low on the tote bags we made last year, so we're getting a new, bigger order - and with a couple of additional designs!

 This is one of the bags we originally ordered from them, and it's sold well enough that we needed more!

And then there's this onion.  This is part of our original three tote bags for Happy Pantry.  And it's one of our favorite designs.  We just didn't like how, this time, the colors turned out.  Luckily the company works with us to make sure the quality is up to our standards, so they did a couple of different versions (above) which were not to our liking, and finally figured out that instead of doing the standard screen printing, that they would use a heat press - and the results are below:

It is exactly like our drawing!  It translated almost perfectly!  So we're excited to get them in.  They are currently on a slow boat - and should be in by the end of May!

We have a great company we work with overseas to make our Happy Pantry tote bags.  They provided us with an image of them in the process of screen printing our illustrations onto the bags!

We're also getting the Milk and Cookies bags back in stock after completely selling out of our first run!

Cookie problems...

Did you know that October 1st is National Homemade Cookies Day?  That's right, they have a lame national thing for every day...but for this one I drew this:

It felt kind of odd that the cookie would be so happy with such a big bite taken out of her, so I thought I'd redo it:

That's a little more realistic....for a cookie with a face...that feels pain.

National Homemade Cookies Day!

It's National Homemade Cookies Day today - that's right, there's a national thing for every day.  It's actually quite a lot of national day things today - but cookies are the tastiest!

BFF Friday! Happy Pantry best friends...milk and cookies

While I'm not the biggest fan of saying "BFF" - it has it's place.  When talking about how much cookies and milk like each other, then it's a natural and appropriate description.  Sure you can eat cookies, but if you dip it in milk first?  It's the best!  And the nicest thing to do next is take a swig of said milk.

I actually don't like eating cookies without milk.  And if it's a cookie type (like a girl scout cookie thin mint) that doesn't dip well, then it's not as much fun to drink.  I'll still eat 'em, and I'll have them with milk - but it's not as much fun as being able to mix these two besties together before mashing them in my teeth on the way to stomach town.

Happy Pantry: Bff's

We're going to do a series of BFF's for Happy Pantry.  We posted the first one, Peanut Butter and Jelly, earlier this week, and here are a few more:

 Nothing goes together better than Milk and Cookies.  But then all of these Bff's believe themselves to be the best that goes together...

 Nothing goes together better than salt and pepper...wait, milk and cookies already took that.  Pepper makes you sneeze and too much salt makes you die (and strangely, no salt also makes you die).  They go together so well because they pretend to like people, but really they're just messing with everyone.

Could you imagine eating salmon without wasabi?  If you can, then you shouldn't be allowed anywhere near them.  It's one of the only times one should ingest raw fish.

Happy Pantry - LA Cookie Con

 LA Cookie Con and Sweets show is on January 25th at the Pasadena Convention Center, and Happy Pantry is thrilled to be a vendor!  There will be chefs, bakers, celebrities and special VIP's wandering the convention hall...but the most important thing is there will be samples...lots and lots of amazing candies and desserts and things to stuff in one's face.  It's a taste bud's dream, and a belt's nightmare.  It should be awesome!!!

Who doesn't have a fascination of desserts and sweets?  Especially the good ol' fashion milk and cookies...or, as some would say, cookies and milk.  It's tasty way to spend the afternoon, or to cap the night before bedtime.
